1. What Softrow keeps on your iPhone

Softrow is a local-first RoleCard desk for one job you are practicing tonight. You bring in a job description (photo, dictate, or paste), open the RoleCard for that title and company, then practice out loud before you tailor a resume draft. RoleCards, practice scores, local stills, and preferences stay on this iPhone. Softrow does not create a Softrow account and does not run an account-backed cloud sync of your desk.

2. What you create or keep

You may keep RoleCard title/company/JD text, photographed JD stills, mock-interview scores, written-test answers, resume-tailor drafts, widget snapshot fields shared through the local App Group, and the AI data-sharing preference you set. Softrow does not require a login to open a RoleCard or run a local practice round.

3. Permissions you control

When you choose the related feature, Softrow may ask for:

• Camera to photograph a job posting so this RoleCard can be built from that JD
• Photos to pick an existing JD still, or to save an accepted RoleCard scorecard to Photos when you ask
• Microphone so you can dictate a posting, answer mock questions out loud, and dictate written-test free responses
• Speech recognition to turn that speech into text; Softrow requests on-device recognition when Apple Speech supports it
• App Tracking Transparency after you tap Continue on the one-time launch guide so Firebase Analytics may measure which screens you use when you allow tracking

Deny any permission and keep using the paths that do not need it — for example typing instead of talking, skipping a JD photo, or continuing practice after Ask App Not to Track.

4. No In-App Purchases in this build

The reviewed build does not include StoreKit, subscriptions, consumable credits, Restore, or a Softrow paywall. There is no spend unit attached to opening a RoleCard or finishing a mock round.

5. App Tracking Transparency and Firebase Analytics (Guideline 5.1.2)

Purpose

After you tap Continue on Softrow’s launch guide, iOS may show the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, Softrow may share limited product interaction / app activity signals with Firebase Analytics (Google) — and may use a device advertising identifier when the system provides one — so we can measure which RoleCard, mock, and tailor screens people actually use, then improve that practice desk on later launches. Softrow never displays advertisements or sponsored job listings inside the app, and does not use Firebase to run a third-party ad network.

What happens if you decline

Choosing Ask App Not to Track (or later withdrawing permission) does not block opening RoleCards, voice-only mocks, written tests, resume tailor, or optional DeepSeek coaching that you separately Allow. Analytics collection that depends on tracking authorization stays off; the rest of the desk keeps working.

Third parties

Firebase Analytics (Google LLC / related entities) processes analytics signals under Google’s terms when collection is enabled after the tracking prompt. Declared tracking domains in our privacy nutrition label include app-measurement.com and google-analytics.com. Softrow does not integrate Adjust or another advertising attribution SDK on this tip. JD photos, spoken practice answers, and RoleCard text are not sold to data brokers for advertising.

How to withdraw

Change the permission anytime in iOS Settings → Softrow → Allow Tracking, or reset advertising permissions system-wide under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. ATT permission is separate from AI data sharing: turning tracking off does not revoke DeepSeek Allow, and turning Settings → AI data sharing off does not change ATT.

6. Optional cloud AI (DeepSeek)

Coaching turns leave this iPhone only after you tap Allow on Softrow’s “Share this role with DeepSeek?” sheet (or after you re-enable Settings → AI data sharing when no prior Allow exists). Declining keeps local RoleCards and scores; no coach request is built. Turning AI data sharing off stops later and in-flight DeepSeek requests immediately.

When allowed for a turn, Softrow may send only what that turn packs:

• RoleCard title, company, and JD text
• Practice scores and spoken practice answers (as text)
• A photographed JD still — only if you added one for that RoleCard

Softrow does not collect face data, contacts, or advertising identifiers inside DeepSeek payloads. Requests go to DeepSeek at api.deepseek.com using the operator model configured in the app (deepseek-flash). 7. Widget, scorecard, and deletion

The widget reads a local App Group snapshot written on device. Saving a scorecard to Photos is an explicit action you start. Deleting the app removes local RoleCards, media, consent preferences, and caches Softrow stored. We cannot rebuild wiped on-device data from our side.

8. Children and sensitive categories

Softrow is a Lifestyle practice desk for adults preparing for job interviews. It is not a recruiting agency, background-check service, immigration advisor, or medical device, and it is not directed at children.
